There is Auriferous Quartz vein Oxidation Ore in a Gold dressing Plant in China. The main metallic minerals are natural gold, galena, pyrite, limonite, malachite and so on. The gangue minerals are quartz, mica, calcite, kaolin and so on. The ore contains 8 ~ 10 g / t of gold, 1% of lead, fine gold particles, and high content of ore mud and soluble salts. This plant uses the amalgamation-gravity-leachate pool leaching process to recover gold.
After grinding the ore to 60%-0.074 mm, the amalgamation plate was installed to recover coarse gold at the discharging end of the ball mill and the overflow place of the classifier respectively, and the recovery rate of gold in mercury process was about 20%. The mixed mercury tailings are classified by hydraulic classification box and separated into grain-grade rocker to obtain lead concentrate containing 50% lead and gold 11.6g/t. The shaker tailings are abandoned by coarse sand sedimentation tank and fine sand sedimentation. The grain size of coarse ore sand obtained by sedimentation is 98%-0.42mm, and that of fine ore sand is 98%-0.125mm. The coarse and fine ore sand is dug out by excavator to dry and grind into fine powder, and then it is mixed according to the ratio of coarse sand: fine sand= 3: 1. The mixed ore is the original ore of leaching by percolation cyanide trough, with gold content of 3.48 g / t, water content of 5% to 6%, withgrain size 40% -0.074 mm.
The percolation trough is rectangular, with a specification of 4 × 3 × 1.2 m, 16 tons of ore in each trough, the slope of the bottom of the pool is 0.3, the distance between the false bottom and the bottom of the trough is 100 mm, and the curtain of bamboo change from the false bottom to the bottom is covered with burlap bags, and there is no working door at the bottom of the trough. The ore sand was loaded into the tank and the tractor was used to carry it to the percolation trough. The cyanide ore was dry-fed into the trough, and then the leaching solution with NaCN concentration of 0.1 % and pH of 9 ~ 10 was added to it. Batch operation was used for leaching and sodium hydroxide was used as protective alkali.

The cyanide head ore contains gold 3.48g/t, the cyanide tail slag contains gold 0.64g/t, the leaching rate of gold is 81.3%. sodium cyanide consumption is 2 kilogram per ton sand ore, the consumption of sodium hydroxide is 0.5 kilogram per ton sand ore. The total recovery rate of gold in the whole plant is 74.4%, of which the mercury recovery rate is about 20%, the heavy separation recovery rate is about 15%, the cyanide operation recovery rate is about 40%.
