All carbon in pulp plants have a certain amount of oversize particles, including wood fiber and coarse sand.As mentioned above, these inclusions can adversely affect activated carbon adsorption, flow smoothness, desorption operations and carbon transport.At present, the equipment for chip removal in carbon in pulp plant is mainly vibrating screen.The investigation shows that only about 53% of the chip removal rate can be achieved by using 3 vibrating screens to remove the chip in series. All remaining wood fibers enter the carbon adsorption system, which brings many problems to the carbon in pulp plant.
In order to completely remove wood fiber and coarse sand from the slurry, South African Delkor process co., ltd. developed a linear screen, as shown in figure 8.2-7.It is mainly composed of frame, feeding box, screen cloth, driving device, chassis and belt roller.The slurry is fed into the feeding box, and flows to the moving filament cloth belt through the distributing plate orifice. The material under the screen flows to the chassis by itself, and the material on the screen is removed from the screen cloth belt of the driving wheel by washing with water.
This screen has the following advantages:
