This plant is one of the earliest carbon in pulp plants in the world, processing silver-containing ore at a scale of 300 tons per day.
Properties of ore:  the plant treats two kinds of ore by the factory, one is the raw ore mined by the mine, containing silver 500g/t and lead 1.6%, the other is the recovered old tailings, containing silver 93.8g/t, neither of which contains gold.
Technological process: after crushing and grinding the raw mineral, flotation process is adopted to recover silver sulfide and lead.The flotation tailings contain silver 87.5g/t, and the coarse sand is sent to the tailings reservoir after the sand and slime are separated.The yield of coarse sand and slime is roughly equal, at 150t/d each.The slime enters the carbon in pulp system together with the recycled old tailings.As shown in figure 9.1 1.
Recovery rate: flotation εAg=87%,εPb=69%,carbon in pulp εAg=70%。
1. Leaching: in winter, the carbon in pulp system only deals with 150t/d of slime in flotation tailings, and in summer, another 150-200t /d tailings are recovered from the old tailings reservoir.The leaching tank is 4 Pachuca tanks with a concentration of 40% and a pH value of 11. The duration of the leaching tank is 72h in winter and 36h in summer.Concentration of NaCN was 0.06%, consumption of NaCN was 0.9kg/t, consumption of lime was 2.4kg/t, and leaching rate was equal to 80%.
2. Carbon adsorption: the slurry entering the carbon adsorption system contains dissolved silver 37.5g/m3, with a concentration of 40% and 6 adsorption tanks. The slurry stays for 24 hours in winter and 12 hours in summer.The carbon content in the whole adsorption system was 22.5t and the carbon concentration was 21 ~ 32g/L.Silver-loaded carbon gradel: 10000 ~ 17000g/t.Silver-loaded carbon production was extracted 1.1t every day in winter, and the amount of metal was extracted 294 taecs.2.2t of carbon was extracted every day in summer, and 588 taecs of metal was extracted.
3. Activated carbon type: Westates 6~12# coconut shell activated carbon.Activated carbon single consumption: 0.22kg/t.Such high carbon consumption is related to the following factors:
⑴Small amount of ore treated on the feed; ⑵The type and specification of carbon were not chosen properly. ⑶There are problems with the regeneration method of rounds, air can enter the regeneration kiln; ⑷big carbon storage, high carbon concentration, serious wear; ⑸Length of carbon conveying pipeline; ⑹The intermeshes are made of vibrating screens outside the tank, and the carbon wear is large. ⑺The false decking device is air hoist. ⑻The management and operation of carbon need to be improved.
4. Desorption electrodeposition:there are four Φ 1.8 x 2.4 m of conical desorption column, three series of desorption system, one backup.The desorption process adopts the Zadra process.Desorption solution composition NaOH1.0%+NaCN0.3%.Desorption temperature 75 ℃, desorption carbon grade 187 ~ 250 g/t.The electrodeposition troughs are made of 4 Zadra troughs made of fiberglass in series.The accumulator tank and the desorption column form a closed circuit.The desorption solution contains 250g/m3 in winter, 562g/m3 in summer and 20g/m3 in electrodeposition lean liquid.The current intensity in winter is 125A per tank and in summer is 200A.All piping and valves are made of 341SS stainless steel.Desorption time is 72 hours.
5. Smelting: electrodeposition of the cathode after drying and flux mixed smelting.The purity of silver ingot is 92% ~ 93%.
6. Regeneration: regeneration temperature 600 ℃,the carbon stays in regenerative furnace for 20 ~ 30 min, regeneration by the drum sieve sieve to remove fine carbon, carbon regeneration cooling way is  water quench cooling.
