When both cyanidation and adsorption occur, the adsorption time depends on the dissolution rate of gold and silver.When gold and silver are absorbed from cyanide slurry, the adsorption time depends on the ion exchange rate of gold and silver.The optimal adsorption time is usually determined by experiments, and generally fluctuates between 8 and 24 hours.The adsorption time is controlled by adjusting the slurry flow in production, which can be calculated by the following formula:
t=(V*n)/Q
In the equation, t -- adsorption time (hours);
V -- the effective volume of each adsorption tank (m 3);
n -- number of adsorption tanks;
Q -- slurry flow rate (m3/h).
The adsorption cycle refers to the total time that the exchange resin stays in the adsorption tank after the exchange resin is added from the last adsorption tank through the countercurrent adsorption to discharge from the first adsorption tank in a saturated state.The adsorption cycle is related to the amount of resin once added and the resin flow.The following formula can be used for calculation:
tc=E/q
In the equation, tc -- adsorption cycle (hour);
E -- the amount of resin added at one time (m3);
Q -- resin flow (m3/h), q=L/n;
L -- resin transfer per tank (m3/h);
n-- number of adsorption tanks.
Under the condition that the longest adsorption time of adsorption from raw ore cyanide slurry is 6 ~ 8 hours, the total residence time of exchange resin in each tank is 160~180 hours.The residence time is insufficient, the saturation of the resin is low and the effective volume is not fully utilized.If the residence time is too long (over 200 hours), the wear loss of the exchange resin will be increased and the recovery of gold will be reduced.
