The separation process of gold ores depends on the occurrence and distribution characteristics of gold and other valuable components in the ore, as well as the reserve scale of the deposit and the conditions for the establishment of the plant.Any kind of gold bearing ore has its own characteristics, even if the same ore deposit, deep and shallow ore properties are also different, so the processing method will be different, reasonable technological process must be through small test or expansion test can be determined.
When determining the separation process, the following points should be noted:
1、Early recovery of coarse gold When it contains coarse gold (> 0.1mm) among the gold ore, gravity separation and amalgamation operation should be set up as soon as possible to avoid recycling, so as to provent this part of gold in the separation from lossing and accumulating in the equipment and pipeline；
2、Mud and sand processing alone In order to recover gold effectively, flotation, gravity separation and cyanidation can be carried out according to the different characteristics of ore mud and sand, which can increase the recovery rate of gold and increase the amount of treatment in order to recover gold effectively when the ore contains gold-bearing mud or almost no gold-bearing slime.
3、Stage grinding stage processing When the gold in the ore is distributed unevenly in thickness, the recovery rate of gold can be improved by the process of stage grinding and stage processing.
4、Adopt the combined process of dressing and smelting (wet-process metallurgy) Because of the different occurrence state and distribution size of gold in ore, and the different content of metal minerals symbiosis with gold, the recovery rate of gold is often lower and the valuable elements can not be recovered reasonably by using a single processing method. With the exception of a few ores, a high gold recovery rate can be obtained by using only one ore processing method, and the majority of ores must be processed by a combined process of processing and smelting in order to obtain a higher gold recovery rate.
